Victorinox Diver 500m?

WOW $357 for what????? IMO i would get a nice casio mudman watch and buy something else with the savings....

If I were you, I'd forget that poser watch, and buy a real one...Something along the lines of a Citizen 300m Ecozilla...That is, if you like 'em big, heavy, & rugged.

I have a Wenger dive watch. Only rated to 200m but it was $70 from www.campmor.com a few years ago (don't know what the present price is). I've used it down to about 75 ft. and beat the heck out of it backpacking for a few years. No troubles.

That's a good price for what I've heard is a great watch. You also might want to consider Seiko, Citizen, and DeBaufre.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to look into the others as alternatives but I've had some really great luck with my other Vic watches. This is a great looking watch and I've got others similar to the recommendations given. I guess we pay for looks sometimes and I'm fine with that. Watches can be like firearms. Some for show and some for go.

BTW, poser watch maybe.

Poser me, nope.

I love the Diver Timex model. Cheaper then all there others, but just as solid.

Also I don't feel to bad if I lose it. Kinda like losing a Tenacious verses a Sebenza. :D

All paths lead to this:

The Sebenza of watches. Strangely, I own one of these but not a Sebenza...

Since you're open to alternatives I'll recommend a Seiko Diver. I think they're the absolute best buy in the watch world and it's half the cost. Even though it's overseas the shop I linked to is well known and all I've seen is praise from people that have bought from them.

That is the watch that got me started on autos. Got mine at a PX at Ft Campbell for $260. That was my war watch.

Tissot Seastar 1000, I believe there's a nice one on the 'bay right now with a black face and the rubber strap. I've got the steel faced dial with a bracelet and I absolutely love it.

on my 14 inch laptop screen the steel faced one is life sized

I went the Tag Heuer route, but that is a bad ass watch.
