Victorinox evowood 81 Scissors issue

Ahh yes! the scissors issue. So i'll start off by saying i love my very small and brand new and expensive Victorinox evowood 81. There is something about that Wenger style! I went to cut some paracord for a lanyard with the scissors and they kept locking up and i had to keep unsticking them manually! The scissors seem to still be fine and this am i cut some paper and plastic and some thread just fine! But i do worry did i hurt the scissors? yes they have a lifetime warranty but i just got this thing and don't wanna wait 7 weeks LOL as i said they work great this am but has anyone else experienced this? Help calm my nerves! Thank you in advance!

The Wenger style serrated scissors havent ever really been great at cutting standard size Paracord, in my experiences. Every time I've tried I never got too far. Didnt hurt them, they just weren't too happy with the process. Unless theres something obviously bent, they should be fine. They'll tolerate way more than they should.

The scissors will bind on some tough stuff like paracord but that doesn't damage them. I use the scissors on my SAK more than the blades and (regrettably) the corkscrew🍷.

thank you! that makes me feel better to read that. I think i overthink/overworry
 
Also does not take seven weeks. Just seven at most. Got my warranty Exec in like two weeks. Glad your issue is okay though. Enjoy that sweet thing!
