Hey all I am thinking about purchasing a Victorinox Farmer and was wanting to know if anyone here uses one, and if so how strong is the saw blade on it? How tough of use will it hold up to? Thanks in advance for all the info.

It's as tough as it needs to be. Not being a smarty pants, but I can't ever remember anyone ever breaking one.

If its the same saw on my Huntsman its plenty tough. I use mine to saw through oak baranches that need trimming. No problem at all...its a miniture chainsaw in that regard. You will be limited by the diameter of branch you are going to saw through though. Probebly 5-6 inches max.

They cut great for their size, if you don't let the blade get pinched or twisted while you sawing you will likely wear out before it does! I've cut tons of oak, hikory, pine, poplar and I'm sure lots of other stuff too, all my sak saws are still going strong, and I can honestly say I've USED them!
