Hey Guys,

Anybody have any experience or opinions on these for cleaning fish?

My brother in laws truck broke down on a recent ice fishing trip so while wondering the streets late at night of a small town I saw a Victorinox filleting knife in the window. The store was closed so I couldn't check it out but I have always liked Victorinox and I have always liked/needed a fillet knife, so seems like a good set up. Just looking for some informed opinions on it.

Any info is much appreciated. Thanks

I have two a 40715 which is a narrow blade very flexible and a 40616 wider flexible but stiffer than the 40715.I do mostly Walleyes I like the 40616 better the 40715 is a little too flexy for me.Handles are very comfortable as far as blades they seem to hold an edge about the same as The Rapalas, Westerns and Grohmann I have.

Thanks for the response. I mostly do walleyes as well. I think I will have to give one a try, starting with the 40616.
Thanks!

I'am going to get a F Dick fillet knife to use this year.I've been using F Dick boning knives for the last couple years seem a little easier to sharpen than the Victorinox and hold an edge just as well or better. If they are available in your area I wouldn't be afraid to try one.

I'll have to look into that, thanks for the recommendation!
Doubt they are available in my area...not much is but I will see what I can find
