Victorinox Hunter Pro Scale exchange

Hi everyone. Is it possible to switch the scale on the Victorinox Hunter Pro Alox with the red scale that come on the knife that doesn’t have a thumb hole? The end result I want is that awesome red scaled handle WITH the thumb hole.

I don't know but I would like to. I just got the one with the thumb hole here on the exchange. I got it because of the thumbhole but I too like the red scale better.

Ok very good. It seems like if it’s been done that person is probably in this site. If you give it a go let me know. I’m going to see if they see the scales by themselves. Hate to have to buy both knives!

Agreed. I'm trying to determine if those scales are riveted on. They look like they are. If that's true that's a challenge because they would have to be drilled and then either reriveted or tapped and screws put in.

Might be easier to exchange the blades then. But I haven’t looked up the specs yet - not sure the handles are identical.

Would that get us anywhere, seems like if they are riveted you would still need to take the rivets out to exchange blades...
