Hallo guys! I bought a Victorinox Hunter 0.8873 and I have problem with the blade. The blade dont lock well and moving up and down a little (4-5mm). How can i fix it? I see that is victorinox's problems with all kind of locks.

What you prefer in 30-40 euros?

The large locking Victorinox's (slider and liner) aren't like other modern locking types. They are basically a slipjoint with a secondary lock to prevent it from closing on your hand. So there will be up and down movement, it's not a "problem" - it's just the design. If it really is 5mm though that seems like it's more than normal. I would either get with the store you bought it from or send it in to Victorinox warranty.

Thanks's man! Before that i had an older victorinox with liner lock with the same "problem" but i believe that was for the heavy use (was a gift). I didn't know that was normal.
I Think that the "hunter" is a little mistake. Is not enough for a hunter and i bought them for a hunter's use.

I agree with SAKsRCool. The slider lock on the Hunter WILL allow some movement, but it is a design issue, not a problem. I own two Hunters, and they BOTH have limited blade-play in the locked position. Use it as intended (a knife), and you won't have any problems with it. EXCELLENT CHOICE, by the way. The Hunter is one of my favorite models.

Thanks! So is not a problem. I'm happy for that, is new and all the other stuff are perfect for me. especially the bottle opener. I believe will get use to. Just i afred of for my fingers.

The other classic victorinox are good?

Yes, they are. Some standouts, IMHO, are the Farmer, Soldier, Tinker, Pioneer, Climber, and Cadet. Try the alox models. GOOD HUNTING!!!
