Victorinox hunter

Sorry, I should have replied sooner. I’ve had one for over 20 years now. I was on a moose hunt in 2003 up in Canada when I shot a bull. The guide pulled out a red Hunter with the slide lock. I grinned and asked him what he was going to do with that little thing. I bought one right after I got back to the states. It goes on every hunt, including back to Canada and Africa. There may have been a couple of critters in that time that I didn’t use it on but I’d have fingers left if I counted on one hand. Extremely capable knife.

While it wouldn’t be my first choice for that task, it’s only because it’s harder to clean with all the nooks and crannies vs a fixed blade or simpler folder like a sodbuster, I’m sure it will do the job admirably.
Victorinox doesn’t make a bad knife.

Congratulations on a successful hunt. I had one of those hunters in red while in highschool. Honestly don’t remember where I got it from. It was an awesome knife. I left it at my grandparents when I went off to college. Not sure what happened to it.

I’ve often thought of replacing it or getting a similar Vic. Just awesome outdoors knives in my opinion.👍
