I'm looking to purchase a Victorinox Waiter (Alcoholic) but I would like to replace the scales with black scales from the Compact in order to gain the pen and maybe the needle. The problem is, the Victorinox doesnt call out all of the dimensional specs for the Waiter.

Does anyone know if the waiter and the compact are the same exact height and width (not depth)?

Cant help you with measurements on various SAKs, but why dont you just yank the scales and fashion your own?
I'd see it as a chance to put your own stamp on your pocket knife.
Here a few of mine - Vic Spartans and Tinker. In descending order: Brass, carbon fibre and titanium:

Hmmm,... no. The likelihood that I would make the cut out for the pen and toothpick perfect andsnug enough so they dont fall out is pretty low. Id rather just buy new scales or swap them.
