Does anyone here own a one hand opening version of the above knife? Opinions, good, bad, or indifferent would be appreciated. Specifically I'm looking for the weight and thickness, plus pocket verses pouch carry.
Cheers and Thanks!,
Rob

Well I decided to pull the trigger on a one hand Vic Parachutist, got a great deal at felinevet's shop and did a good deed. I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician by trade so, it's a karma kinda thing. I do find the OD green scales of the German AK and the new Soldier appealing, but think the belt cutter on the para would be a more useful tool than the wood saw. That said I'll probably pick up a Soldier anyway down the road. This will be my first new SAK since my teens (I swear Mom and Dad always had a new SAK under the Yule tree every December when I was younger) so I look very forward to it's arrival.
Cheers,
Rob

It's not a perfect match but here's a comparison photo of the One hand trekker. The One hand parachutist is similar in size to the One hand parachutist -- though the parachutist has a seat belt cutter instead of a saw.

I pocket carry the One hand trekker -- haven't found it necessary to use a sheath. You might disagree. Even if you intend to buy online, you may want to try the knife out at a local store. If you can't find a Parachutist in a brick and mortar store, try the One hand trekker out for size.
