Victorinox Pioneer?

Does anyone here know if Victorinox still produces the Pioneer? I looked at the Soldier model and was extremely pleased, but I saw the Pioneer online and like the look of the red alox. The problem is that I can't find one around here (Charlotte area of NC).
Thanks.

Victorinox does still produce the Pioneer, but Swiss Army Brands Inc., the U.S. distributor does not import them. They are availible at swiss-knife.com. There are multiple Alox framed models that are not commonly seen in the U.S.

Much as I love the Pioneer, I like the Farmer even better. Same knife with the addition of a saw blade.

The Victorinox Pioneer was one of my first knives long ago. Still like most of all from Victorinox line! The Pioneer can still be bought

The advantage of the Pioneer over the current Soldier model is the key ring that can be used as a lanyard attachment. I have an old Soldier model from pre-"93 with the hollow rivet for a lanyard attachment but the new ones don't have anything. Just look around on the ground after a platoon of Swiss troops march by, you'll find a couple of knives on the ground!

Thanks to you all for the responses. I bought the Pioneer today. I was in a gigantic shopping mall in Concord NC (not even looking for a knife) and I saw it there. I could have gotten it for less from StJames but I could'nt resist. It is a great knife too! This is my first alox swiss knife and it is so much more substantial than any of the plastic-handled ones. It is now my #1 pocket-knife (it and my Camillus Lev-R-Lok).
