Is there a victorinox knife called Pionier, not pioneer?

I've seen it described as "Victorinox Pionier - 1 Functions: Ribbed Alox, Silver"

Is this a knife made by victorinox? I can't find it when I search for it on victorinox's website. Those for sale on ebay are being sold from Germany and the UK.

I think its just a spelling mistake, the pioneer is the standard scout pattern knive in alox, there are variations - pioneer electrician (electrician sheepsfoot), pioneer rancher (hawkbill blade). The names are actually informal, and only consistent by convention, the serial numbers are official. These alox knives are to be discontinued, so this is why vic won't show it on their website.

The knife to which you refer is the 'Pioneer (Alox) Solo'.

'Pionier' is German for 'Pioneer' btw ;)

As it happens, I'm carrying it to work today:

I'd also recommend you check out http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php for ALL SAK queries...its an excellent resource!
