Victorinox Recruit....

Depends where you are located. National chains that have 'em around here are Lowe's and Ace/TrueValue.

Thanks! I go to Lowe's fairly often, But walmart/target type stores don't carry them? Just because I don't know how the prices are at Lowe's.

I live in Charlotte, NC - the Lowes here typically are competitive with other chain stores such as Wal-Mart as far as SAKs go. The closest stores around my immediate area don't seem to have such a great selection, but if I remember right I think they had a classic, recruit, tinker, super tinker, and another small model that I wasn't familiar with. Not a huge selection, but the prices were about right and if you needed a knife for immediate carrying, you could at least walk into Lowes and walk out with a decent SAK for $20 or less.

Target sometimes has them around here, though they usually have other models with more blades/tools like the Camper, Hiker, Tinker, etc. Not sure about Wal-Mart. I've seen them at Lowes and maybe Home Depot in the past. Think I bought one at Lowes.

The Target by my house carries the recruit only in combination with a flashlight (someone in marketing is taking them for a ride with the combo set idea). I haven't been to walmart in a long time. If you have a Fry's Eectronics by you (and don't mind hunting around the store a bit), they often have the Victorinox "Eurosport" recruit in sale (they were going for $4.90 around a month ago). Exact same knife as the Recruit except for nylon rather than celludor handles (matte finish instead of shiny). Happy hunting.

I've seen the Recruit in Wal-Mart, Target(combo pack), Lowe's, and a local Ace hardware store that has a sporting goods section.

Check your local sporting goods and hardware stores if you can't find it in one of the big box stores.
