Victorinox scissor screw/pin.

Does anyone know what years were the scissor screw and what the pin? My dad has two cybertools that have the pin, I have an old Explorer (maybe 5 years old?) with the pin, and old Climber with the screw (maybe 8 years old?) and my dad has a 10+ year old Explorer with the pin. Also, how well does the pin hold up over time compared to the screw?

Not sure of the years, but I have a pre-1991 Victorinox Ranger and it has the Screw instead of the pin. Works great and I love it
