On that Explorer I restored the scissor screw is horribly chewed up so that I can't tighten it. Anyone know where I can find a replacement? :(

I did, but as I do not use e-bay I only explored the site that one of them had and he didn't seem to list any on there.

(For those of you who do use E-bay, here are the links:)

Guys, check out this seller on Ebay:

http://stores.ebay.com/Central-Vall...geNameZl2QQtZkm

Or his web-site:

http://centralvalleywholesale.com/

He is also known as "Nuts4knives" over in the SOSAK (Secret Order of the Swiss Army Knife) over on www.knifeforums.com.

He is a an upstanding guy and totally honest.

Or this seller:

http://stores.ebay.com/Help-People-...0QQftidZ2QQtZkm

He is a great source for new and used SAK's and parts, and he does it all to raise money for free vet care for animals. I have personally bought from him several times.

If you don't see what you want on his ebay site e-mail him at:

Tim Meeker fveap@earthlink.net

I found a pack of scissor screws at BladeMatrix for $1.07.

Nice to see you fiound some at a reasonable price -
was the shipping equally reasonable?

For future and anyone else's reference -
Swiss Army Brands/Victorinox in the USA are renowned for their great customer service -

this is from their SAK FAQ

QUOTE:
Q. Must I send my knife in to have the scales, toothpick, tweezer, and scissor spring replaced?
A. No, you can purchase all of these right here. To learn how to replace scales and scissor springs, contact our consumer service department at 1.800.442.2706. -SA

If in the USA it's worth making that toll-free phone call - for something as small, inexpensive and trivial as a scissors screw they might send one free......?
