I’ve had this knife for a while now, but it hasn’t seen much use besides opening beer bottles and the occasional package. I went camping/bbqing earlier this week and decided to put it through its paces a bit. I use the knife to prepare my lamb rack and of course there was no problem there. The serrations didn’t have too much of a hard time cutting through the gristle and bone and it didn’t dull too quickly. I used the hell out of the saw (cutting wood for the fire) and it fared well for a small saw. I wouldn’t like using it on really think branches, but it would work in a pinch. Anyway, here are some pics:

There are some great things about this knife. I know a lot of people don’t like chisel grinds, but at least its ground on the proper side (no offence Emerson! You know I love you)! Also, many people (myself included) prefer plain edged knives, but one of the main issues I have with combo-edges is that they do it the wrong way around! It never made sense to me why they put serrations on the part of the blade where you want to do delicate cutting then put the plain edge on the work-horse part of the blade. I’m glad someone finally got it right!

Good little review Armadew! How sturdy is the liner lock? I like this new model but I wish they would studstitute something else in place of the philips head SD.

I have the German army version, which is identical except the opening hole is slightly bigger on the swiss version, and mine has the german eagle symbol instead of the swiss cross. I agree it's a great knife. Zero blade play on the main blade, solid tool selection. The liner lock is different than normal in that it works from the opposite side than normal. You can see this in the pics above.
