Hello again STR,
I just recently posted on the Paramilitary, same person.
Anywho, I have an 03 Victorinox Soldier thats like the one pictured BELOW. It was my first real "quality" knife which I had bought from the Victorinox factory IN Switzerland. Loverly knife... that is... until I had at it with my first sharpening stone many years ago... lol
I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I guess I tried to sharpen it at like... 5 degrees each side or something... lol... Or perhaps I was just experimenting on how thin I could get the edge. "Sharpening can't be that hard." lol... Quite embarassing, lol! It looks terrible. Anyhow, it's been gather dust for a long time (rust too). It has discontinued any use due to it's appearance.
I was wondering if the blade was salvageable via bead blasting, resharpening, and cleaning in general.
