I may need to purchase another Spartan from Victorinox. Who sells the version with a straight pin in the scales and what is the correct name to search for?

I don't think any model actully comes with a pin. Just a hole for a pin. Does yours have the hole under the cork screw?

Years back the Compact model came with the pin also when I went to the Vic store in my area I picked up the yellow tinker with Don't Tread On Me & had the pin, If you need the Straight pin let me know & I'll pick a few to send them to you. I try to go about two times a month to check out what they have. Gary

Why not simply buy a set of "plus" scales? Those are readily available from on line sellers for less than the price of a new Spartan and easy to install. I got them for $12, including delivery, for my Super Tinker. Although it's nice to have an opening for the pin, the big upgrade is the place for a pen. While I've only sometimes needed a pin, the pen gets used often, and it's more reliable than the kind you can steal at the bank.

most modern Vics come with the hole, but not all with the pin. Its not a specific SKU unless you are getting a Plus model. New scales is easy to do.

My replacement Spartan just arrived, and it does have a hole under the corkscrew. Now I need to find a useful pin - or maybe there is a miniature lightsaber available??? :D:D
