Hello !

I received a couple of days ago a brand new Victorinox Spirit multi tool.
I saw something that i did not like but i am not sure if it is how it should be.

The two grips (when the tool is closed) are not evenly aligned, as you can also see here.

As you can also see the knife blade is also a bit bended (maybe it is how it should be). The side of the blade when closed touches on the pliers, not the edge of the knife.

I suppose this should not happen, correct?
I am afraid to try to bend the knife blade a bit as i know steel is not flexible and i don't want it to brake in my hands.
Let me know if you have that tool and it is exactly the same as this.

Thank you in advance.

Well, this should not be, I think. You should send it to Victorinox with a little writting about the problem. They have a very good costumer service. I think, they would replace it.

Hope this hels a little.

BTW: Welcome onboard :)

I have 2 spirit x's and one was like that, with the handles off a bit. After using it awhile it seemed to correct itself, i dont know if that was a fluke or random, but now it seems fine. Other people have reported this too though and if it bugs you Id return it, im sure they will treat you well.

I am mainly concerned of the knife blade touching the pliers.
The rest does not bother me that much.
