I have a little Vic knife that I love. Its the Sportsman model. By my measurements it should be legal (TSA approved) to fly with once the Knife ban it lifted on planes. The Blade is non locking and is 6cm in length and is less than a 1/2 in in width. Can anyone double check this for me to make sure I am right. If I am, this will be my travel knife. Thanks.

Can't you still pack your knife for luggage?

Sorry, I don't travel much by air so I'm curious.

You can pack the knife in your checked bag (meaning it goes under the plane), but I try to avoid checking bags because it takes longer to get them after you land, and theres always the risk of it being lost or opened up.

Yeah, several years ago my fiance had her iPod stolen out of her checked bag. The airline of course denied it and offered us 20% off our next flight. The offer was only good for like 3 months or something stupid.

I still pack plenty of valuable items, but the amount of power the TSA and airlines have is insane.
