Just wondering if anyone owns a SAK with StayGlow scales and how well they retain light? It could sure come in handy if they work well in the dark.

I've got quite a few SAK's with Stayglow scales and I'm very pleased with them. They do glow reasonably brightly for some hours in the dark if they've been exposed to bright light
during the day. They are also tougher than the normal cellidor scales. They might show more marks if doing dirty/oily work though.

I have one SAK where I did put on this scales, its a knife for my survival kit. It is a nice extra for the knife, it glows well in the dark when exposed to (day)light, but most of the time are knives like the SAK in a pocket, so not exposed to light......

all the best,

Jan

I have a Stayglow Explorer and if I charge it with a 230 lumen flashlight, it will glow all night.

Regards.

Anyone into Victorinox SAKs should have a stayglow flavor in the arsenal just for the fun factor.

they are some of the best gitd I've ever had! charge fast (sun-best, indoor lights, flashlights) and are sooo bright! last several hours too.

try em, you'll like em ;)

I have 2. They are about as bright and long-lasting as you'll ever find from any product, knife or non-knife.

Thanks for the responses, with Winter coming and long nights ahead I thought it would be nice to have one with Stayglow scales to keep on my key ring.Good to know they really work.
