Okay, I'm really liking the Vic. Super Tinker I just got and have been looking at a few others that are comparable in tools and size; such as the Mechanic, Deluxe Tinker, and the Fieldmaster. But the one that caught my interest is the Swiss Army Craftsman. For an EDC, do you think that it's a tad bit too bulky? Right now I'm EDC'ing the Super Tinker and the Electrician and hardly notice it on my person at all. For those that have experience with the Craftsman, what say you?

Please advise and thanks!

We can't make that decision for you, you need to try it. Tape or tie the Electrician and the Super Tinker together and carry that around for a while. I have pocket carried up to a Champion and you can get used it.

Having carried a SwissChamp for a while, I would say its definitely not too bulky.

Thanks for the. . .what am I trying to say here. . .contrast(?) in regards to the SwissChamp and Craftsman!

If you're thinking Craftsman, why not live large?

A long time ago, after my skinny SAK was stolen (can't remember the model, this was long before I much cared about these things), I decided to go the whole deal and replaced it with a Swisschamp. It carries more easily than you'd think. Mine went well in a belt pouch or by belt-attached suspension into my pants pocket, hardly knew it was there until needed. I grew fond of that thing, and the only reason I moved on to Leatherman was the full function pliers, locking implements and better screwdrivers.

These days I still use the champ for travel, though. It's legal to carry almost everywhere, and you can't beat the versatility. Over years I've used every implement on it except for the back spring mounted small screwdriver.

I have a handyman, which iirc is the craftsman with a corkscrew, and it is a bit big for my taste. It's a great knife and I keep it in my office desk but it is heavy and not much lighter or smaller than the swiss spirit or leatherman charge, which give you the full size pliers and all the other tools, more or less.

Edit: the swiss spirit x is around half an inch longer , quarter inch wider, but not as tall, I believe, and about a quarter ounce heavier. For the extra size you get great full size pliers and locking tools.

I'd say go for it! If you don't like it sale and buy something else or trade it for something you do want.
