I've picked up one of the Victorinox Voyager Swiss Army knives and for the life of me I can't get the clock set on it!

I've sent two messages to Victorinox in Switzerland, with no response.

I called Forschner in Connecticut, and they told me to pry (!) the clock out of the handle in order to set it, and that hardly sounds right.

Do any of you out there have any experience with these knives?

I'd like to set the clock, and disarm the alarm.

got the manual ?

download it from swissarmy.com

has something to do with the shield ?

You are correct!

The web site has PDF manuals, and there are illustrated instructions for setting the clock, alarm and timer.

Just hold the crest down . . . for 10 seconds . . . and things start to flash.

I had a Voyager too (sold it though). It's a great knife and once you know how to set the clock it's very easy to use. If you have a use for the clock it's a very recommendable SAK.

I just ordered one with the light. Does anyone know how well they stand up to everyday use, and do they take 1, or 2 batteries?
