Has anyone owned or used this multi-tool that could shed some light on its performance and if it feels to bulky in your hand.... anything at all about this multi-tool would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't owned this particular champ but use to own the regular champ and I found that:

1) Some of the tools were a bit dinky for use
2) Too wide in the handle for good ergonomics

IMO the leatherman type multi-tools are far more useful. The pliers actually work and existing tools are large enough to be useful.

High gadget factor though and I can understand the attraction.

Welcome to Bladeforums! :D

I haven't got that exact model either. I've got the largest Wegner SAK. I use it as a desk knife -- it sits next to my checkbook, etc. I usually carry a SAK or multitool, but if I'm going to carry anything that big, I prefer a multi with strong pliers.

We also have a Multi-tools & Multi-purpose Knives forum where I'm sure the guys would jump all over a question like this. :)

I don't have one, nor will I have one because the thing is about a micron away from HOLY S***

That thing is just too FAT. Only serves you to show off with it.
I have used a leatherman PST for 15 years now, wouldn't miss one day.
If You want a SAK, take the army model with metal handles, its honest but dependable and useful.

SAK's that large are really a collectable. If you really have a need for all of those tools buy a Leatherman, or Victorinox Swisstool.

If you want a SAK, buy one that is thin and light, like a Farmer or Soldier model.
