Don't know if this already discussed, I just got my Vic. Farmer, and notice that the blade stamped with:
VICTORINOX
SWISS MADE
STAINLESS

instead of
VICTORINOX
SWITZERLAND
STAINLESS
ROSFTREI

My Classic SD Silver Alox which came in the same package still has the "SWITZERLAND" stamp.

Just curious why do they change it? and since when? is it only for the big bladed SAK?

Thanks,

AFAIK, *all* Victorinox stamped SAKS are made in Switzerland. The tang markings may differ some... =)

like all things eventually a manufacturer changes logos and the like

theyve simply changed the blade stamp-the newest vics have the leaner stamping-no x-bow no rostfrei-

i noticed these on
my newest ranger
and the metal file pattern has also changed-may be stamped instead of machined -im no expert but suffice it to say that the old file was a white colored with cross cuts-the newer file pattern seem to be on a slightly more yellow looking metal and-single direction file grooves
