Hi guys!

I'm thinking about getting a Spirit to replace my current outdoor combo (LM Wingman + Vic Huntsman), however, I was wondering about the length of the saw on it, is it longer than the one on the 91 mm-models (Huntsman, Ranger, etc.)?

What about compared to the 111 mm-models (OHT, Outrider, etc.)? Is it shorter?

I've noticed that it is shaped differently, does that affect its performance?

Thanks for any input guys.

Here's a picture of mine.

About 2 and 11/16ths inches, which is what? Around 68mm? I'm about to fall asleep, so my measurement may more than likely be off.

IMO, the Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit, is the best multi-tool out there, kicked my Leatherman Wave out of circulation.

I'm just holding the spirit saw and the farmer saw next to eachother and the length seems the same. The only difference i'm noticing is that the spirit's saw is less pointy.

Luv my Spirit. So well made. Opens and closes like a bank vault.
Best...

This. I own some Leathermans as well but the Spirit feels so much more refined. It's not like the Leatherman's tools were wiggling or anything, but the way the manufacturers achieved it is really different. Leatherman feels somehow tenacious, you have to apply a lot more force to get it into position while the Swisstool and its tools open lightly (but not dangling around or anything), just with a little bit tension, which increases before the final position, and after that it snaps right into it's bomb proof final position with extreme accuracy. It's hard to describe, but it just feels like the tool handled exactly the way they've planned it. Very unique indeed. The Leatherman is pretty much the opposite: feels very sturdy, almost indestructible, but everything rubs against eachother. No loose parts there as well, but the way they achieved it just feels like "ah, let's just tighten that screw a little more".
Leatherman is a real, sturdy tool you want to have at every building site. Doesn't matter if it falls to the ground or gets scratched. Swisstool on the other hand is a nice, useable tool as well, but also a piece of art and the epitome of ingenuity and craftsmanship, but then again, I'd cringe if I saw one falling on concrete floor.

Measuring the cutting length the Huntsmans saw is 2 and 9/16ths, the Spirit's saw is 2 and 7/16ths.
111mm Fireman's saw is 3 and 4/16ths.

Thank you!!! I ddin't think the diffrence between the Spirit and the Fireman was that much. Actually, when outdoors the tool I use the most is the saw, so maybe I'll stick to my Wingman and just change the Huntsman for OHT or a Fireman.
