Victorinox Tang Markings

I recently acquired a couple of used SAK's. One is definately an Executive, while the other one looks basically the same but without the little keyring piece. The one without the keyring piece looks older and on the tang of the main blade has some additional markings. On one side it has the normal
VICTORINOX
SWITZERLAND
STAINLESS
ROSTFREI

On the other side is what I am curious about, it has:

VICTORIA
and has a little crossbow that lines up vertically with the letter "O". Is this an older Victorinox or just a different model? Any help or suggestions and where to find some Victorinox dating resources would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

"VICTORIA" means is an older SAK. Some of the guys here will have a lot more info than I can give.

Glad you called it a crossbow  alot of people call it an umbrella :jerkit: Have a look on this site for some history http://www.e-webtechnologies.com/sak/index.html its a great website :D I emailed victorinox direct with a question on the tang markings and got a really helpfull reply back , so you could always try that .

Great link Dunc - I was able to match up the "VICTORIA" markings to the one that is dated 1943. I still need to do some more research to try to narrow down the date, but I'm definitely heading in the right direction now. Thanks!
