For a product made in Switzerland, why are the Victorinox tang stamps on the main blade in English? Shouldn't they be in what ever the primary Swiss national language is (either German, French, or Italian)?

I might be mistaken, but I am not aware of SAKs for the European and Global markets having different markings (other than those sold in Saudi Arabia).

English is the "universal language" of the world that many can speak. I would guess that they want to stamp the tang in English so that many can read it.. so why not?

And stamping them all in same language is also easier, faster and cheaper.
