victorinox

Victorinox has the reputation for quality. Check out the multi-tool forum for tons of info.

They are pretty darn good for being only about $28. If you need a knife that locks with a bunch of tools they are good. If you just need a knife that locks there are plenty of others out there for under $35 that are way better.

Great knives, cant get around it.
I love the huntsman and OH fireman, but the rest are good..... I guess ;):D

I have the Nomad. It's pretty decent but I really dislike the up and down blade play that is has when locked. I think these knives would be a lot more useful if they had pocket clips. Thats a pretty big handled knife to be carrying down in your front pocket.

I carry my Outrider IWB in an OD Blackhawk ballistic nylon pouch.

I love my OHT, and the Skipper for the added pliers. Great knives for the money.

Hey Guys...

I use to carry the RUK SAK,, moved to the Outrider and just got a Hercules from Felinevet...

Great knife,, large but has some very useful tools...

my Nomad has some lateral bladeplay as well (anoying, but i guess it's ok for such a cheap folder)
and it was a bit hard getting used to the liner lock which works exactly opposite to how it should

I really like all my vics, including liner and sliding lock models. You really can't go wrong for the money!

Like-um... Like-um-a-lot... I have often wondered, on some (not all, maybe just a couple) of their large blade knives, why they don't try putting a clip on the knife... just a thought...

I have a Bundeswehr Trekker, a custom Bundeswehr Trekker (added scissors, small phillips and corkscrew), a custom One Hand Trekker (with a pocket clip added) and a Nomad. The Nomad locks up rock solid, not a trace of movement. All the others have a tiny bit of vertical wiggle.

I also have an Outrider that I keep in my truck, and a Hercules on order to carry around for work.

Make sure that you check with Felinevet when you get ready to buy. I bought two Nomads from him used for $11 each!

Revolvergeek did you add that pocketclip yourself? Or is there somewhere I can have that done to mine?

I bought it that way. The previous owner carefully drilled three holes through the scale and liner, then attached the clip with three pointed sheetmetal screws. Not super strong I expect, but it has survived many months now riding clipped in my bag during the week and in a pocket working around the yard on weekends.

Yep, I like those Vics too. It's sometimes hard to pick a single favorite, but if I had to tonight it would probably be the Electrician Plus.

:)

I bought a Vic Hunter around Christmas and a few days after I got it I killed a doe. It field dressed her nicely. I could carry it everyday if I wanted and be very happy.
