I stumbled across a nice video about Silver Stag knives that I thought you guys might enjoy.

The owner is giving a tour to the couple who host the deermeatfordinner channel on YouTube (which, by the way, showcases these Silver Stag knives quite a bit, and is mnblade approved!).

Silver Stag makes old school fixed blades with D2, 1095 or Damascus steel, and North American deer, moose or elk antler handles, plus some wood models in black walnut, burled maple, and cocobolo. They also make a line of single-blade folders with D2 steel.

Anyone ever try one?

Interesting video, thanks for posting that

Interesting video. I like watching all the hand work that goes into shaping the knife. No Bondo allowed.
"I make all my guys wear gloves". Yeah, that's what I was thinking. A lot of ways to get hurt pretty badly around that equipment. Watching the lady use the band saw and sanders made me cringe a bit, but she seemed pretty competent. walked out with 10 unbandaged fingers.

Received one for a Christmas present a number of years ago, but never used it. Seemed too nice to use when compared to my $30 skinner. I'll have to post a picture when I get home later.
