VIDEO: Benchmade 710-1 Review

I like my 710. It does rattle at the axis lock when closed. I do not like the rattle, but I do not think it really matters as for function. I won't buy anymore recurves just because I like to sharpen on flat stones primarily. I still think it is a fine knife with classic lines.

If I can be gentle in critiquing your review...............

You may want to put some enthusiasm and energy in your delivery. Thanks for doing the review. I love my 710

thanks jim i've been using my b.m. 390 in carpet work , great edc. little heavier than the endura but a cutting machine, especially since you put the mirror edge on the knife.

That stuff cuts forever doesn't it. :D

It doesn't affect cutting, but the 710 and 805/806 series open, lock and close with a very satisfying smoothness and sort of Swiss watch/Mercedes car door kind of tactile and audio feedback.

i got my 710 m390 and the action was acually really tight and was hard to open. i loosened it alittle and threw some blue lube in it... the action is much smoother but as teh blade gets closer to opening it still feels a little gritty other then that eveything is good. i hope it just needs to work in a little. it don't know how to put the axis lock back together and i don't want to void the warranty trying to open it up to put lube on the spacers

going to send it to ankerson to get it sharpened until i learn myself.. just don't know what sharpeningsystem to get yet ..

did u get my email arkenson?

Oh, ok...ya wore me down. ;) KW had a customer cancellation on one of the satin 710-1 knives...had, as in past tense, being the operative word...it is on its way here... :D It'll join and compete with an original ATS-34, an M2HS and a CPM-M4...does make you wonder how many 710s a body needs...
