I appreciate the time you took to make this video, but what's the point in subjecting a folder to all this?

It was requested and knife donated for the testing by a fellow BF member.

Is that the force of the spine whacks you did ? Is there any more to this video? That is about the same force I gave the Manix 2 on a bedpost without failure.

Is this just a portion of the video.

When I heard the triad lock mentioned I expected full massive spine slams using a full grip with full force when testing, but I did not do the other test where you hit the front bottom of the handle (those are supposed to put a lot of stress on a lock)

I guess I got the wrong impression ?

It's all they need really. ;)

I did exactly the same with all 3 knives on video. :)

Like I said, I was completely fair, this is a hard use test not a break the knife test. Or at least not supposed to be a break the knife test.

Sorry, I get frightened when you shave the wood as it seems you are about to hit you're knee.
Thank you for your video reviews :)

It's just the camera angle, I wasn't any were near my knee. :)

I'm not sure I learned anything other than a folder can be broken if abused. Ok, got it.
Next let's take a Porsche through a dirt track and jump it! What do we prove when it gets trashed?

I think it looks like a pretty fair test of every knife personally. Good job Jim.

I must admit I'm reassured some by the Griptilian more so than before seeing the test. I've always avoided that knife for the cheap plastic look and not particularly caring for or trusting the nested liner design. I'm still a bit curious how long that nested liner would stay in place with some real baton work but seriously for a folder I think your test is ample for what a folder may actually be used for from time to time in the field to notch some wood for whatever reason.

Its also good to know how prepared you may want to make your back pack for a camp out or a day in the field because from the looks of the test results it would be a good idea to carry along your torx set with you or a couple of drivers at least to fit the folder you have. I mean just in case you do some work and have to readjust the pivot to take out play after making some tent stakes or something.

Thanks to Zeke for providing the knives for the test. Interesting to say the least.
