So i just got my knife back from Benchmade, and boy can i tell you, what a trip. I decided to make a video about the mess that ensued trying to get my knife serviced, and thought it might be useful for those of you considering buying from the company. i know their very well revered, but still, if it helps someone, this is just what happened to me.

You sir are a troll and disservice to the BFC community. You have "withdrawn" on so many sales threads and you have low balled far to many good members. Check the links here folks:

This guy should go on everyone's ignore list immediately. Though it shouldn't be long before he is banned.

Know what would be awesome? If you stopped posting up links using the member base of this site to drive clicks to your Youtube channel. I won't be watching any of your videos.

This guy is a ... geek, and not in a good way. Just making that video alone makes you a ... geek.. in the bad sense...

Benchmade pretty much rules. Maybe karma played a role in this... I've never waited that long to get a knife returned from them, the 2 times I've sent one in. But just for sharpening..

Of the 20 or so Benchmades I've owned, they are the best knives I've owned that weren't custom built.

Gl in life!

edit: quit posting videos, your voice is grating.

wow, unfortunately I do have to agree with sloth on this one. Koyzumie, a word of advice, stop watching Japanese Anime & Hentai and... well I guess your personality can't be changed but please please stick with knives and never get into guns.

I didn't watch your video but wanted to add my 2 cents on Benchmades customer service.
A couple years back I did a sight unseen trade with a guy for a benchmade 9050 auto knife. When I received the knife and opened it I discovered the PO had sharpened it on a grinder and removed about half the blade. Called benchmade, told them what happened, and asked for a price to replace the blade. They offered me a new blade for $25.00. I shipped the knife in, one week passed and I received it back with a new blade, no charge, and a note saying sorry that happened, hope you enjoy the knife.

Benchmades customer service treated me so well I can't help but give them more business.

i called in for some low ride clips to upgrade some others. ended up just chatting knives and edc with the rep for a good 20 min. good people at benchmade.

Another extremely satisfied customer for BM.
I have dealt with BM CS 3 times....pocket clips, custom shop help and a blade swap.
Each time I spoke with Micah and could not have been treated better! She is an absolute doll that will do whatever is necessary to make you happy. She sent follow up e mails every time!
The best CS I have found.

I think the dude just needs a girlfriend...

...or boyfriend?

I haven't needed Benchmade service yet, but I've read far more accounts of BM staff being accomodating and generous than I have of BM turning their back on someone with a reasonable problem.

It makes me feel better about spending more than I can afford on them occasionally.

Sorry, but I found your video rather self serving and disingenuous.
My bet is that Benchmade doesn't take people seriously when they fill out an online form but instead of providing a first and last name they give some goofy YouTube handle. Personally, I will hit delete every time.
As far as shipping to Canada, one reason I have stopped is because your customs agents can and will hold packages for up to 3 weeks.

Benchmade has top CS personnel, they've always treated me right. I also didn't enjoy your ... video or your voice. Then I read your GBU post. Stay classy and enjoy a well deserved spot on my ignore list.

I've always found Benchmade's CS to be extremely accommodating and very professional. As far as quality production knives go, I often recommend them and will continue doing so.

In the face of so many contradictory experiences it might behoove you to ponder the possibility that the real problem lies elsewhere.

Never had a bad experience with BM. Never had a poorly made knife from them and they always sent me pocket clips and hardware if I needed it. I may also add, they didn't charge me anything for the extras either. They also have an excellent LEO program which I appreciate. Lastly, made in the USA, which I also appreciate.

Love to see so many people come to the defense of Benchmade. I own a few and the first one I got is a 9050 and it's over 15 years old. I've only sent it in once and it was my first experience with them and it was for sharpening and general clean up. I asked them not to replace any internals as I was happy with the snap of my knife. It had pretty good size chip in it and I lost a bit of the blade in order for them to sharpen it out. I've sent three others in that I got used online and sent them in and they cleaned them up sharpened them and they were as good as new. Everyone has that one bad experience with something but coming on here and trying to flame them is just silly.
