Fun times. I tend to to the most whittling with my SS with the straight edge.

I think it actually whittled better when new with the original recurve edge and the stock edge. Sucker was a whittling machine.

It is a bit thicker behind the convex edge now, which makes it more robust for abuse, but the whittling is affected just a bit.

This makes me want to go out and whittle something in the back yard.

I guess I have a Straight handled Badger coming my way next week to try out. I will have to give it some whittling treatment.

Nice review. Great idea to shave some newspaper to demonstrate the edge retention.:thumbup: It is good to see that newspapers have some value in that respect.
