Jim, Well done again Bro!!! Always look forward to seeing your comparisons and chop-offs...

Thanks. :D

I use a Nikon D90 DSLR with a Nikkor 18-70mm Lens to shoot video.

NICE! I love the way DSLR has been looking lately. Some very exciting things coming down the pipeline!

Completely unrelated but here's a quick 720p clip I recorded with my GF1 (and 20mm lens) a couple weeks ago:

Don't think it's as sharp as yours though, with or without the INFI content :P

Hope you don't mind the off topic! :p

Nice video, love the dogs.

I setup on a tripod and manually focus then start recording when I do videos. When I 1st started I used the auto focus, but found doing it manually worked better.

I've had a bit of trouble with manual focus, as my camera isn't a full DSLR, it's Micro 4/3. No built in electronic view finder, so I'm only working off of the LCD. Not ideal, but the entire package is very small / convenient so there's definitely a trade off.

I'm loving those knives though, it's been a while since I've owned a proper chopping Busse. Sold off all my FFBM's well over a year ago now. It's taking so much willpower not to go on a spending spree now that there are so many options in the marketplace!!!

Ank - great stuff as always. I can't wait to get my B11 out for some outrageous choppin'.

It's cool to get your readout about it versus the BWM and NMFBM. It seems like it might be in a category like the Dogfather, but with INFI steel. The DF is a beast for its size, too.

Ank, I thought there wasn't auto focus, but manual was our only option.

You can auto focus in Live View before starting the video. :)

I don't do it that way though, I look through the View Finder and focus manually then press Live View and start recording.

Nice comparison between your knives Jim, does the B-11 have a rounded/nuclear treatment type spine.

It's a little rounded, but not like the NMFBM.

Cool i thought it looked kind of rounded in your earlier vid. It sure did'nt seem to hurt it in the batoning department though.
Looks like you did well on your score there Chopper! :D:thumbup:

I just can't get over how well it chops for it's weight....

I have others that are around this weight and they don't chop anything close to this thing.

Its the magical properties of Infi. Maybe because it longer and the blades a little sleeker.

I think the balance and the blade shape have a lot to do with it along with that flat grind. :D

Awhhh the flat grind yes you're probably right. Looks like Busse put some thought into the design of that blade. What do you think of the res handle?
