I also have a Recon 1 but a plain edge tanto blade.The first time,I cutted up some cardboard with it, I was amazed at the same ease.Somewhat like a lazer.

Yeah the blade is pretty thin and hollow ground so it really goes through cardboard like a razor knife. :thumbup:
