VIDEO: Endura 4 FFG ZDP-189 at 18 Degrees Inclusive slicing Paper

god that' s insanely sharp. never went even close to that low of an angle on any of my knives:eek:

jim do you think that edge would do whitetail making light bone contact? if you're working from the factory edge how long does it take on the edge pro to arrive at that sharp?

I think it would hold up pretty well being it's ZDP-189.

Took me about 1 1/2 hours total time. :)

Very slick!

I can not stop playing with this ZDP. It is really cool stuff, I am not sure what the limits are, but they seem to be WAY beyond my abilities.

keep up the good work!

It's awesome steel.

I am not sure what it's limits are either, but it's the perfect steel to take to low profiles because it will hold the edge and it gets frightening sharp. :D

Doesn't the Edge Pro Apex only go down to 10 deg per side? How are you getting less than that?

The thicker the spine on the knife the lower the angle will be when set at 10 degrees. Also if it's hollow ground too, the angle has to be adjusted if you want it right on a certian angle.

The only way to get 10 degrees when it's set at 10 degrees would be to have a perfectly flat blade from edge to spine.

Awesome job! I have the same knife but haven't tried altering the edge angle. I do need to have it full flat ground.

Can somebody get in touch with the US gov and let them know there's a knife wielding lunatic attempting to split atoms?
