Hello, I'm finally getting my intro thread posted here. I've been buying and selling Busse and Kin for a few months on the sales forum. I check out the Busse subforum and the Swamp Rat subforum regularly. Now that I have my first out of the way I'll start posting a little bit.

I'm hooked on these knives. Raging Rhino pointed me to the SR shop video of the Waki. The one where they're chopping down trees, then slicing paper and bending the blade way past 90%. I had to have one. When I got my first Bushwacker Mistress I knew that model would be my user Infi knife. I got a satin version with a great chuddy bear leather sheath from Major Kong. The knife was modified by norcalblacktail to the satin finish with a hair popping convex edge. Awesome blade!

My other user is a Swamp Rat mini uncle mojo. I got a great deal on it so it was a little easier to start using. Only duties so far have been kitchen. I cut a bunch of veggies but the super thick blade made the process slow. I'm hoping the BWM will be easier to work with. I finally have my two user knives and I feel like officially part of the family now.

We have 3 cats, that one is Scrappy and he is a beast! He's beat up several dogs that got a little too close to us in the park. The last one he had his claws in the dogs butt while the dog was running to get away. Scrappy was hanging off his butt, back feet in the air. I wish we had a video of that! :) It looked a little bit like those videos of lions pulling down the Buffalo from behind, claws stuck in their butts.

Yeah that BWM is a great knife. It'll get way more use in my kitchen than the woods. My sons are getting older now so less boyscout campouts. We'll have to do more family campouts this summer.
 
That's hilarious! My gf and I have 3 cats as well. 2 of them are dorks, but her russian blue is tough as nails. He battles raccoons, brings a couple mice to the door every day, and sometimes he kills himself a bird. We aren't allowed to have dogs on our property, so there haven't been any incidences. I'd laugh my butt off seeing a cat take on a dog in person and win.

I have a TTKZ on the way and I have a feeling it is going to mostly be a kitchen knife as well. I'm all for beating up my Busses, but the zilla is too darn pretty. It would be awesome to have a dad with such good taste in knives, your sons are lucky!
 
Great video. That bushwhacker is sweet! FYI... If you cut the flowers at a 45 degree angle they last longer (I've been married 12 years this Sunday).:D

Awesome Rob. Looks awesome...I convex all mY users. I really want to learn how to make paracord weaved d guards.
However, I can't resist.......Dude...cutting flowers with a BM....only a badass like yourself can pull that Vid off.:D

I appreciate all the positive comments and support fella's! :) My wife made fun of me for "being a goofball" and making the video to begin with.

I've been showing her the comments and jokes because you guys are funny. It also helps me show her that I'm not the only crazy person who gets excited about using his new knife for the first time.

It kinda reminds me of being a kid again getting new sneakers. I'd try and sleep in those suckers the first couple of nights I had them.
 
Great post Rob!!! The Mistress and the SH are my favs of the BC line. Cool Cat Bro... Oh and don't worry, my wife messes with me ALL THE TIME regarding pig stickers. She ask what another one, I just say yea needed one for spreading mayo, duh...:p

Thanks Major Kong, it took a few months to convince myself it was ok to actually use the knife. I'm very glad I did! :)
