I made my first attempt at forging something. I used the wood stove I built as a forge. It was probably more involved than I should have tried for a first project but it worked out.

The second looks to definitely have a more define 'bowl'. Same wooding plank used?

It is the angle that it is shot at. Everything looks better (and tougher) with a stone and a skull. I used the same plank. I'm getting a lesson at PWYP this week from a master blacksmith. I've been challenged to make a useable knife from a leafspring and I'm gonna get a little lesson.

Very cool, you limiting yourself to hand tools only(I guess you'd have to unless someone brings an ac converter)?
