Great video and I had to laugh about getting a fire going at 20* C :D That is perfect fishing weather. I wish it was 68* F here instead of the usual 32* C :thumbup:

One of these days I'm going to figure out the video function on my camera and get on youtube myself.
 
What type of wood is that first piece? That looks like some hard stuff, nice color to it too. Nice video...

What kind of mallet is that, Rob? Is it one of those plastic mallets or is it a deadblow?

Tis a deadblow. I broke the last rubber mallet I had doing this so I went and got a one piece jobbie. Hopefully this one lasts a little longer than the rubber ones do. Knife spines are hard on mallets!
 
Thanks, I've been using a big oak branch, but I'd like something more efficient.
