Amen, brother!I just watched this video and agree with most of what is being said. Cliff was a great guy who will always be missed by those who knew him well. Cobalt is another stand-up guy who I have poured through many a bottle of scotch and bourbon with. Too many bottles? . . . No. . . Not enough? . . . Definitely "Not Enough"! . . . Not yet! . . . Not ever!!!. . . Drink on!!!
I know that Cobalt and all of the other HOGs out there will continue to punish their livers together whenever they meet in person or on the forums until the end of time!We will continue to do it in the name of science and in the name of fine cutlery!!! We are hard-core researchers who will continue to drink whatever we deem necessary! . . . May God continue to bless all of the HOGs and other knifeknuts out there!
In regards to Kevin, Blues, and the other members of Bladeforums who were mentioned in the video in an unfavorable light, I must strongly disagree with the assessment. Kevin has helped us whenever we have needed it and asks for nothing in return. He is an awesome, selfless guy who I have counted among my friends since the late '90s when we first met. Blues has always been more than fair and has been there many a time to put out forum fires whenever he notes that it is needed. Let's face it, being a moderator can be a tough and thankless job. Blues and all of the other Mods and Super Mods strive to do the best for the forums and I have never seen a better group anywhere! We are all knife knuts who share an unexplainable love of knives!
I truly believe that if we were all in the same room, most of the misunderstandings would vanish and our love of knives would most assuredly bring us together.
Jacob has a burning desire for fine cutlery and he makes his own blades that are very well thought out and well made.
We are all members of the same group . . . We are all knifeknuts and will always continue to be!!!
I put this post up years ago and I stand by it, still to this day. (163) Read This "BEFORE" Posting On The Busse Combat Forum. . . . . . | BladeForums.com
In a world that can sometimes seem to be over-controlling and over-sensitive, those of us who have an undeniable and nearly uncontrollable love of cutlery should strive to stick together.
I am always brought back to a conversation I had with Bob Loveless in the 80's at the Blade Show. He told me that knife knuts have a primitive love of bladeware that cannot be explained and never denied. I could not agree more! I enjoy nothing more than talking to those who share this primitive love of cutlery.
I would love to see whatever divides us, to simply be gone and overshadowed by our commonalities.
So, in the hope of this coming true in the future I simply raise my glass and say,
Let's Drink!

A true testament to this forum is that it has survived for more than 2.5 decades. Unfortunately, personal attacks happen, and sometimes people should rise above their grievances. But I would challenge anyone who wants to pick apart this forum, to find a venue that has lasted this long in our hobby. I have seen many come and go.
As for that part of the video, I usually don't pay attention to personal attacks and pay attention to the important parts. I think all of our mods have done an excellent job on this forum.
