with James Keating. Call Comtech for availability. This 48 min tape covers joint locks from Silat, FMA, Aikijutsu, and Chinese Arts.

The BD
Intro (locks and legalities)
10 Count Lockflow (5 locks, nerve impulse reversal)
Entering (Walk Thru, countering a lock/counter the counter,
Complex Walking (a little on locking two limbs, FMA stick
and dagger lock concepts)
Misc Drills (how to incorporate one arts drill into a lockflow)
Conclusion (lecture on escalation, counter/counter concept)

One of JAK's earlier tapes (turn up the volume), this tape has some basic arm/wrist locks
and the main concern is to able to flow from lock to lock. JAK says
it best as this tape is basic but gives a framework to build up on. Intermediate folks of every art and are familiar locks will benefit the most. If your into throws and grappling, this isn't for you maybe get a BJJ/Sambo/Grappling arts tape or something from Matt Thorton and Burton Richardson if you want the JKD progression. The advanced crowd will probably get a better challenge
from the Inayan Kadena De Mano tapes. The FMA portion of the tape coincides with some of Dan Inosanto's old series and Ron Balicki's Defensive Edge.

This tape also goes well with Comtech's Trapping Series and Knifecraft particularly,
with some overlap with the Bandanna series.
Miscellaneous Drills takes the Clouding Hands Drill (Tai Chi), Hubud, Ko Ki Te (Karate)
and shows how to take these drills and incorporate lockflows. JAK also introduces
one version of the Comtech Cross and how to use it for locks (it's not just for hitting
anymore

) There's also 2 frame by frame closeups of the lock drills, and Rob L. and Dave M. go at it at the end, which was great for us mere mortals.
