Seesh, look at that thing tearing it up. Duller than a butterknife.
What do you think it is that makes TP cutting possible? Polish or precision? I've gotten my edges near mirror level now; they whittle hair and everything--that's something to brag about off a 1K stone and a CrO strop. After all though, I still can't get near TP cutting. I'm wondering if maybe having the precision of a guided sharpening system is key.
Very nice!
Just so I can try this at home, what brand TP is that?![]()
Nice work, Jim. Buffed up the Shallot you worked on before sending it off for a heat treat and got it tissue slicing spectaculah. Of course it'll look like absolute hell once I get it back...just wanted one last hurrah before letting go. Will keep you abreast of what happens.

always like your vids..
Mercy, now thats what you call scary sharp right there! Nice job:thumbup:
How thin did you take that edge, and what did you finish the edge with?
Man you're not fair. Now I need to sharpen my knives
Awesome! Do you increase the angle slightly when going to the polishing tapes?
Nope.
No need if the bevel is right on and I make sure it is before moving to the tapes.
I edge will look perfectly polished smooth though a Magnifying glass under light once I am done.
