Can anyone recomend a good hollow grind video. I would like to try,but would like to see it done first. Any tips wuold also be welcomed. Thanks,Cleaver.

Go get some paint stir sticks and grind away. You'll see real fast how it works.

Check the ABS web site, I think they have a hollow grind tape by Johnny Stout and a flat grind tape by Harvey Dean.

BTW I have the 2 videos mentioned.

The flat grind tape is pretty good. The hollow grind tape doesn't answer the questions a beginner might have. It's like watching Leonardo da Vinci for a while and he says, "See you just move the brush around a bit and that's what you get."

OK It's not that bad, the tape does help. And he does show some the processes repeatedly from different angles. The trouble is, like most tutorials, they skip the part the rest of us deal with: common mistakes and their recovery.

Next time someone makes a tutorial I'd like to send them some of my screwups first. Then they could diagnose the possible causes and show how to fix it up.
