You know, I was hoping to get these posted by the end of the year... looks like I made it with about 9 hours to spare :D. These are mostly low-quality vids for reasons of size. There will be more to come, hopefully in better quality.

Low-Budget Psychodelics - 4.8m, MPEG. The guy who owns the camera insists that he edit the hell out of everything he tapes. We're still working on getting it right. By the way, I created the background by capturing a music visualizer reacting to the sound of some of Clay's freestylin', and imposed the Bali. This is my favorite vid so far only because I drop it at the end. :D :D

Finger Snap Aerial - 175k, MPEG. I also have a much clearer 4.3m version of the same video here if you've got some extra time to waste downloading.

Double Bali Freestyle - 1.2m MPEG. It's just what it says.

Single Bali Freestyle - 2.1m MPEG. Some freestylin' with mostly finger twirls.

Flashy Editing - 7.8m MPEG. And just when you thought a balisong wasn't flashy enough by itself, there was video editing. :D

Nice vids! Your single bali routine clip is awesome, you have some great hand speed going there. If you get a chance, I would definitely like to see those vids in a higher resolution.;)
 
Thanks for all the compliments guys! I'm in the middle of determining the best video quality to post up here, so I can convert and post the rest.

Just added another too... it's been edited into the original post.
 
Hey Blasto, your "flashy editing" clip is hilarious. I love the music in the background. The only problem is we don't get to see your wonderful manipulations with the color and scene changes. Otherwise, well done.

Pretty dang cool! They'll be available on The Balisong Video Archive soon as well.

A tip: Increase the frame rate for better quality. You can drop the video size down to 160x120 for good quality at 30fps.

You move so dang fast, it's hard to see what's going on. So better quality (higher frame rates) vids would help. With the way they are now, your hands and knife look like they're made of rubber.

But nice vids and keep em coming.

bloodyknuckles - I checked out your page and it looks great. I appreciate you adding me to the archives. You've got some nice moves yourself. ;) I'll be trying to film in a quality better suited to bali-flippin', but right now, it's either 1.5 meg a second, or the crap you've already seen. I suppose that I could film some dvd quality vids and post them (my buddy owns the ISP), for those who have thick pipes. Everyone else can just keep imagining that I'm as fast as the blur makes me look. :D :D Would you maybe be able to slim down the vids if I posted big ones? Even with $600 in video software, I can't seem to make em' smaller without ruining them. I'll keep trying.

I think the trick is to find the right codec I guess is what it's called. Indeo 5.x works well. What are you using to make the movies? Whatever you're recording with will be fine, so long as you have the framerate up and the screen size right. It's when you compress that you are makeing the transition from huge file to not so huge. Better to have more data and cut out where you can than to have no data and have crappy video. So, compression is the key. Saving as avi is better than mpg or mpeg I think. I use the software that came with my logitech camera. Works great and it has a whole bunch of compression codecs.

How are those vids coming? I sure would like to see more, as I was absolutely amazed and impressed by your speed and fluidity. Remember 30frames per second and compress using a codec like indeo 5.x. Check your software help-files for compression and what not.

I think I got the vid compression figured out, so there's a new vid in the first post... back to the top with ya'!!
