Viele folders as tactical users

I think folders make poor weapons, unless that's all you can carry. I would definitely tend to avoid linerlocks and lockbacks for these purposes. Assuming it's legal and acceptable where you live, get a nice custom fixed blade for your defense, and a folder for mundane chores like mail.

Veile's folders are really nice looking but have you handled one in person? The liner locks are paper thin. Dont look like they have any strength at all.
This is the same thing that stopped me from buying Tom Anderson's mini mohawk at last year's NY Show. Beautiful knife, liner too thin.
If I have to use my folder for defense, I at least want a fighting chance it wont close on me.
