Does anyone know how easy it is to take the scales off a Viele? Are they glued? Does this void the warrenty? Thanks

Viele scales?

Looking at my old style Viele, it looks like you could take the top (non-clip side) scale off with a small hex driver (2 screws). The bottom one seems to not be removable. The rivets and pivot pin are flush with the micarta (totally smooth). It doesn't look like you could get them back on without some kind of machine (if you could even get them off without damaging the knife).
Taking apart a Spyderco voids the warranty. That's not to say that people don't do it, or even that Spyderco would choose not to honor a warranty voided in this way, they may or may not at their discretion.
About the new style Viele, I have no idea, sorry.
