I have got a Howard Viele in VG-10 (more recent version) with a serrated edge.
I'm right-handed and when I open the knife (while horizontally and vertically pushing the hole because you can NOT open that knife without pushing the blade somewhat sideways in stead of just only pivotting it). I find that the side that isn't facing a righthanded user scrapes the metal inside the handle. When I close, exerting pressure only at the top, it does not scratch.
Certainly this isn't because of abuse or negligence of my part. I take excellent care for it and do not drop it or pry with it or whatever.
Is that normal that a knife of that class has this flaw?
I live in Belgium, can I just send it back to the States without any paperwork (dunno if I still got the invoice)?
Thanks.
