Viele Takedown?

Um, those are pins, as you've surmised. That means you'd have to drive them out with pin punches... not an entirely reversible process. If they had enough friction to stay re-assembled afterwards, you'd almost definitely have to refinish all of them flush again, because their nice fit would be ruined. I take apart darn near everything I can (ask Danelle!), but popping open pinned knives is a no-no unless you intend to completely rebuild the scales. That's my $0.02
