Hey everybody ive had this hawk now for almost 15 years . As some of you know the weak link of this hawk is the small eye and the way the head is mounted mine finally started to get loose a couple of months ago . The first thing i was gonna do was carve a new haft but i had a idea when i was fixing my wifes closet door she sometimes opens it with a little to much gusto and knocks it off the track . I noticed the handle of the door has brass drawer escutcheons that looked like they would fit almost perfectly over the top of the head . So i removed one and that and a brass screw heres what i came up with .
Luckally she hasnt noticed its gone at least not yet !
