My father used to refer to this as the butter knife because despite his best efforts he never could get it very sharp. I did a near zero grind on it back when I was in high school, still getting an edge on it was beyond my skills. Not saying I am the master but my knife sharpening skills have improved drastically since then. Today I polished the edge with ultra fine ceramic stones and stropped the mess out of it. Currently this is the sharpest knife I own. It was a bit of a cathartic moment realizing I finally surpassed my late father at something, even if it was just something trivial as sharpening a knife he couldn't. Enjoy the pics.

One up-ing the old man is certainly a rewarding feeling, especially when the old man is gone. I know this bittersweet satisfaction all too well. Nice work on the knife, my friend.
